OCEAN IN THE DROP

This large piece a small mural realy...was shown last summer in the nelson public gallery..with julie catchpole.

its a three LOOSE panel OLD BRAIN work...as a flat painting.

5 meters wide by 2.7 meters high.

its made from many other paintings. jhoined together many are textured and physical. like the subject.

the subject comes from a indian mystic who was describeing the way in which our consciousness was part of the whole and contained the whole inside us aswell.

KABIR a ancient radical ecstatic poet. and more recently PREM RAWIT words of peace..was lectureing on it.

the nature metaphor of contained and containing is universal..

the large work was shown in a show about pattern and repitition, julie put together . i gave a hour long talk and psychedelic poem to about 80 people in nelson. was good Q N A dialog.
